I am a cultural anthropologist working on issues related to modernity, religion, and science in Iran and Greater Asia. I received a Ph.D. in anthropology from the University of Arizona in 2013. My recent work explores a variety of ways in which religious traditions unfold along with the growing presence of scientific discourses and practices in respective regions.
My training as an anthropologist has prepared me to teach and conduct fieldwork research in different cultural settings. I hope my experiences of studying and working overseas will help make your learning at Kyushu University exceptionally valuable and meaningful.
