In September 2021, I conducted a survey on disaster and community in Kumamoto City. This is part of the research funded by the Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research. In February 2022, I conducted a relevant survey on disaster prevention in Takeo City.This is part of the Graduate program of interdisciplinary Policy Analysis and Design and the Institute for Asia and Oceania Research and Education, Kyushu University. In addition, in June 2024, I conducted an internet survey on disaster and community in Kyushu are as part of the reserch finded by the Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research. I would like to thank all those who kindly responded to the survey, as well as those who took the questionnaire in their hands.

I retired from Kyushu University in March 2025. In commemoration of this, the following book has been published in October 2025: "Starting Sociological Research in Graduate School: The Art of Refining Research Questions."
