Field Trip to World-known Geological Spots around Kyushu

7-9 June 2015

A field trip with the research team from the Univ. of Arizona was held from 7th to 9th June, as a part of Advanced Global Training Project for Integrated Academic Education. We visited Mt. Aso, known as one of the largest calderas in the world, and Hiraodai Limestone Plateau, known as one of the three largest Karst formations in Japan. It provided a good opportunity to reaffirm the significance of field research.
